I need a Caretaker for myself, an 81-year-old American male. My wife, a 70-year-old Vietnamese woman, has “misaligned” disc in her back and some thought and memory problems. She is no longer able to help in my needed care. The caretaker is for me but may need to assist me as I help my wife. Location: Phu Nhuan - Newton Residence This is a live-in position. The Caretaker will have some free time during the day as I have my own projects and the Caretaker will be able to sleep through the night unless there is an emergency. Days off will be discussed. We have a cook/housekeeper Monday through Friday. The Caretaker will eat all meals with us. Saturday and Sunday, the Caretaker will have to cook some meals, clean table, clean dishes and kitchen. There is a private room available (with stored items for now.) and a bathroom across the hall. The caretaker must be trustworthy, organized and clean, good attitude and must be fully vaccinated for Coronavirus. There will be no excessive use of a cell phone during work hours. The caretaker should have some experience working with elderly and/or ill and have a good understanding of English. The 81-year-old American male’s care includes: giving diabetic shots and administering many medications, helping him shower and must be able to do everything for his body –wash and clean as needed any parts of the body. Other personal care such as cutting nails and hair will be done by the Caretaker. The Caretaker must be his hands and legs as he cannot walk more than 20 meters and his hands have tremors and his fingers are swollen. The Caretaker will accompany him if he needs to go out of the apartment. Preferred age is 30 to 45. Salary: From 16.000.000VND up to 18.000.000VND a month (With room and meals provided.), depending on qualifications, and a 1-month bonus after the 1st full year
